Full time Ultrasound technologist needed in Abaco and Freeport Bahamas: Position: Full time position. Capable of performing a variety of ultrasound for all ages: general, small-parts, OB/GYN, vascular and echocardiograms. Education: Specialized training in ultrasound. Graduate of an accredited ultrasound training program. Experience: 2 or more years post grad experience preferred. Travel: Some travel required between the Bahamian islands to various clinics Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Comprehensive knowledge of anatomy, positioning and US techniques Knowledge of Ultrasound physics. Knowledge of medical terminology. Ability to determine machine parameters to achieve optimum ultrasound images. Ability to examine images for the purpose of evaluation techniques, positions, and other related qualities. Ability to exercise discretion and good judgment with patients during ultrasound procedures. Knowledge of proper protocols of the various exams. Ability to properly communicate with reading physicians: Radiologists and Cardiologists. Performs basic computer and clerical functions. Ability to complete exam reporting.  Ability to perform x-rays is a plus
