JOB DESCRIPTION FOR SALES MANAGER General Purpose Responsible for planning, implementing and directing the sales activities of the company in a designated area specified by WMS HOLDINGS LTD. to achieve sales objectives, goals and Company vision. The SALES MANAGER reports to The Director. General Sales Manager Duties and Responsibilities develop a sales strategy and written plan to be presented to WMS HOLDINGS to achieve organizational sales goals, revenues and profits set personal and departmental sales targets with Sales Representatives consistently manage and monitor sales to verify sales goals are met delegate responsibility for customer accounts to Sales Representatives to produce weekly reports for presentation to WMS HOLDINGS reflecting sales, revenues and profits co-ordinate sales action plans oversee the activities and performance of the Sales Representatives ensure Sales Representatives have the necessary resources to perform properly may be required to work weekends and/or overtime monitor the achievement of sales objectives maintain knowledge of competitor products and services and identify and report intelligence on competitor pricing or marketing strategies liaise with other company functions to ensure achievement of sales objectives evaluate performance of Sales Representatives may be required to travel provide feedback, support and coaching to the sales team Assist in planning and directing Sales Representatives training assist with the development of sales presentations and proposals develop online sales platforms co-ordinate and monitor online sales activity investigate lost sales and customer accounts attending and participating in tradeshows, conferences and other marketing events track, collate and interpret sales figures forecast annual, quarterly, monthly and weekly sales revenue generate timely sales reports engage in debates, speaking engagements, public relations, talk shows, and organizing seminars (approved by WMS Holdings Limited) preparing responses to RFP (request for proposal) and RFI (request for information) with WMS HOLDINGS develop pricing schedules and rates with WMS Holdings Limited formulate sales policies and procedures to be approved by WMS HOLDINGS help prepare budgets with WMS Holdings Limited control expenses and monitor budgets (approved by WMS Holdings Limited) maintain inventory control conduct market research and competitor and customer analysis analyze data to identify sales opportunities develop promotional ideas and material (must be approved) attend trade meetings and industry conventions cultivate effective business relationships with executive decision makers and technical personnel in key accounts Education and Experience business degree or related professional qualification preferred experience in all aspects of planning and implementing sales strategy proven sales experience (3 plus years) proven experience in customer relationship management knowledge of market research experience in managing and directing a sales team relevant product and industry knowledge solid understanding of digital sales platforms and social media use for sales activities experience with relevant software applications as determined by WMS HOLDINGS (QuickBooks pro a plus) Key Competencies and Skills excellent written and verbal communication skills required organization and planning skills required respect for Sales Representatives and all other team members required problem analysis and problem-solving information management team-leadership formal presentation skills persuasiveness adaptability innovation good judgment decision-making stress tolerance creativity to achieve the sales, revenues and profit objectives Salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
